Tampa Bay Florida Community News
If you have an accident in the Tampa Bay area- who should law enforcment call?
Susie Roscoe or Brandon, Florida explained not too long ago how to store your Emergency Contact person's info on your cell phone in her article: I.C.E. - In Case of Emergency.
Now The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles has now enhanced their website to allow anyone with a Florida Driver's License or Florida Identification Card to designate an Emergency Contact, whose info will be stored on their website- so it can be quickly accessed in an emergency.
To register for this service just go to their website: www.hsmv.state.fl.us and then Click on Emergency Contact Information Link.
Seems like something we should make a priority and take the time to do and as we head into the summer - please drive safely.

That is a fantastic program for the residants of your State I hope drivers take advantage of this.
Cyndee.... it seems that this is catching on in so many areas now. I heard about the I.C.E. tag for your cell phone. But I keep forgetting about the actual word. What cell phones should come out with is a hot button on the phone. When you hit it, it dials your emergency contact, so you don't have to remember these key words. hhhhmmmm Maybe I should make my own cell phone. In any case, this was interesting.
Cyndee, it's funny you mentioned... same thing is happening with my phone when my dad calls me. He is my ICE. :-)
Cyndee,
This is a great program that everyone in Florida ought to know about. I'll have to see if we have something similar here.
Cyndee - EXCELLENT!! I had no idea that I could link "MY ICE" info to my driver's license! EXCELLENT!! This is even better knowing I always have my license and usually have my phone. THANKS for the kudos about my I.C.E. Blog!! Hopefully none of us ever "needs" to use the service(s) mentioned. YOU GO GIRL! As usual... :-)
Dear Cyndee:
Thanks soooo much for helping me get started. You are amazing!
Hey Cyndee,
Does this mean that a traffic cop may call me after he has pulled you over......LOL
Jack
Hi Cyndee - this is a great tidbit to know about. One of my sisters lives in Apopka, and she told all of us in my family about this, and now we've all set up the phonebooks in our cell phones like this. Great tip to share with everyone.
Congrats on the Week in Review feature!
Ann
Paula - thanks for being such a good friend and sharing my successes and growing pains :-)
