Clearwater Florida Real Estate Blogs 33767 -
Things they are a changing in the Clearwater Real Estate Market..Are they changing in your area too?
Experience shows that consumers used to read "static" Real Estate Agent resumes or profiles on your web-page or corporate web sites when looking to choose a real estate agent and that seemed to suffice.
I'm not seeing that as much today. Have you considered that the bar's been raised since we now live in the electronic multimedia world of Youtube, Blogs,Email, Automated MLS?
Our Consumers are demanding up-to-date info and agents that are thinking out of the box for today's "dynamic" Clearwater FL real estate market.
Have you considered thatyour real estate BLOG is now your "dynamic" resume? Are you sharing:
- Your negotiating successes;
- Your effective marketing strategies;
- Your neighborhood expertise;
- Your niche expertise;
- Your values and your business philosophy;
- Your client testimonials and more here or on-line somewhere?
Are you giving consumers and fellow Realtors the information they need to be comfortable choosing YOU! We have over 9,000 Realtors in my county so...
- Do you stand out as a Top Real Estate Resource in your area?
- Does your Real Estate BLOG make consumers want to choose you?
- Does your Real Estate BLOG make other Real Estate agents comfortable referring their clients to you?
We have found that our real estate BLOGS are a great way for people to meet us and get to know how we approach real estate and how we treat our clients. We have been honored to be selected by many consumers and Realtors alike as their Top Choice of all Clearwater Real Estate Agents (and the Tampa Bay area).
Today I got a call from a fellow Florida Real Estate Agent that was choosing between several Top Pinellas County Real Estate Agents. She planned to interview us all and then decide who would be the best real estate agent to serve her long time valued client. These are clients who wants to buy three homes in the Tampa Bay area over the next year
When we spoke I answered all her questions - but we all know "talk can be cheap" so I also encouraged her to visit our Active Rain blogs to learn more about us. She actually logged on to look while we were on the phone. Are you wondering why that be helpful?
Here are just some of the things I believe your blog can tell people about YOU?
- They can see the quality and care be put into our articles;
- They can learn about your areas of knowledge and expertise;
- They can see your professional style - are you kind, caring, helpful, responsive?
- They can how we approach our business;
- They can learn about your ethics and values - not only in what you write but do you copy other's work, do you take short cuts, do you give credit where credit is do.
- They can see how your peers view you - do they respect you;
- They can experience your raving fans through client video testimonials and written ones too.
- They can see if you are approachable - do you respond to comments in a way they would want to be treated;
- They can see if you are "listener" who will help them meet their goals or is your style to "TELL" them how it's going to be;
After looking at our profiles and blogs on Active Rain she actually surprised me and said. "I don't need to talk to anyone else, I've decided I'm very comfortable moving forward with you and your team". - I believe her comfort came from more than my words on the phone - she got to see and experience what we are like as Realtors.
To me, this is the ultimate compliment and the purpose of our business- that everyone we come in contact with will feel comfortable referring those they care about to us - not out of obligation, but because the believe they will truly benefit from having us be their Realtor.
So If your BLOG is your new RESUME - is it doing you PROUD? What else do you think your blog tells about us?

Hi Cyndee,
WOW are you ever becoming a techie! I bet you never saw yourself doing these things to enhance a blog. You are defiantly setting the bar, Great Post!
Dick Beals
What a great post Cyndee! You hit the nail on the head! Our internet consumers learn about us through our writing and what we put out to the public. What does that say about each of us. I probably seem a bit more boring than I really am, now that I think about it....Note to self, more humor ;)
Wonderful article and explanation of what we should and should not be putting out on our blogs!
Cyndee..... an excellent post. I also agree that blogs can make your professional style shine. It's a great way for clients not only getting to know you and more about you, but to feel a sense of security. And I love what you did at the end, adding a few clients and the videos. How awesome... I need to hope on this bandwagon. Great job... I gave this a 5....
Leah - I believe you're right - it is a great reminder of what I need to keep putting in my own blogs - it's easy to get sidetracked in a social / professional network like Active Rain - I keep reminding myself to keep adding content of substance for my clients or my peers.
You're probably right - you have such a great, caring personality and I think it comes through when you write about the people you've helped. Those are great posts to weave in between mortgage options or mortgage solutions posts.
Cyndee, I had someone call me yesterday and say that she had been on my website and my blog and was impressed by both and wanted to work with me. She stated that my character and work ethic really stood out and wowed her. This is a (for those of us that insist the web is a magnet for younger clients) retired couple that is coming into town.
You stood out as well, Cyndee. As usual your professionalism shined through and showed that you are the expert for Clearwater, Florida real estate.
Cyndee,
As a Realtor, you have a very professional way about yourself from what I see, and I think your posts are great..
Great job,
Tom Weiss
How great is this post?!!!!!!!! Nice job putting all these little hot buttons through out your BLOG, you have really taken the video testimonial idea we gave you and ran with it!!! you go girl! you amaze me with the "new stuff" you find out there and how you put it all to great use for your clients, and just setting up a world class experience for them that is second to none!
This post is most definitely a "5"! Will you share how to make the little picture video icon (that play your you tube testimonials), and the button makers? Those are the coolest!
"to tink or not to tink".. I forget, so I'll skip it.
Cyndee,
I have been too focused on one aspect with my blog and this blog by you is helping me to realize that. Thank you for another informative post from down there in Clearwater.
Cyndee...
My Blog doesn't count. LOL. But Blog Boy's (Broker Bryant) does. Although our market is a bit behind the times we do invite all of our customer's to our Blog both in and out of the rain. Our customer's love our Blogs. They have the opportunity to see how REAL we really are :)
Not only do we have FUN with them ... They get to see how much FUN we have with our peers :)
P.S. They are loving our videos :)
TLW...ROAR!
I like the little boxes with the pictures we can click to meet your clients. What a great idea!

Good info Cyndee
I do believe that interactivity is essential on your pages to give a better engagement to your potential clients...
A good reminder to put our best foot forward when composing a post.
Cyndee - this is incredibly true!! I'm always amazed at how much information we can supply just by blogging. YOUR YOUTUBE interviews speak for themselves...AMAZINGLY!! You've taught me so much, guided me on the things you didn't quite get yourself-at the time, and shared more than I could ever have hoped for!! EXCELLENT POST!!
Another excellent blog. One of the big things that bothers me is when I read blogs of others that are full of typos. It makes the author look uneducated and ignorant. I blogged about it a month or two ago and received mostly agreeable comments, but a few said "It doesn't matter. Blogging is not formal and it's forgiving."
I disagree. Blogging is business. If you want informal, go to MySpace. If you're blogging for real estate, you need to be professional, IMHO.
